It’s all part of the deal with Partners in Packaging
A revolutionary robotic concept from cartoning specialist Vepatec, of Germany, has been launched by Partners in Packaging (PIP).
First show at the PPMA Machinery Only Show 2003, Vepatec’s patented Unigrabber utilises proprietary servo drives, offers good flexibility and is capable of up to 50 pick and place cycles/minute. The robot’s simple construction features a variety of product pick up devices and a ‘self-teach’ automatic memory that allows the head to be synchronised automatically to the co-ordinates of the product.
Key features of the Unigrabber include cantilevered hygienic design for cleaning and maintenance, together with simple and easy repeatable operator size changing.
Chocolate! A world leading chocolate manufacturer has installed a second Vepatec’s KA190S suitable for erecting specialist frame-wall cartons with solid board hinged lids. Vepatec are very strong in the Belgian and German confectionery industry with a number of specialist carton designs.
The machine will be fed by two new Streamfeeder V755 one-shot friction feeders, which are mounted on "plug and play" style stations on the infeed. The system, which uses PE film, is capable of wrapping individual items or collations of products up to A4 in size including magazines, direct mail publications, catalogues, and brochures.
