UK CASE PACKING MARKET TO BENEFIT FROM FLEXIBLE GERMAN FRIEND
Specialist German manufacturer of case and tray packing systems, MAF GmbH has recently joined the Partners in Packaging stable of principles.
The company specialises in providing customised turnkey operations featuring the seamless integration of film and carton packaging as well as key robotic and palletising solutions.
Recently acquired by Germany’s B & B Verpackungstechnik GmbH & Co, MAF systems feature servo technology and automatic changeover, while the modular user-friendly design of its systems are said to offer high flexibility and production efficiency.
MAF’s Combimatic 700/1000 Traypacker Series equipped with servo operated size changing operates at up to 25 cycles/minute and is suitable for high sided trays with lids, and also comes in wraparound and side loader versions.
MAF is soon to launch the faster and larger sized Combimatic 500 range suitable for applications over 30 cycles/minute.
The “Straffpacker” range of Stretch film bundling machines has recently been upgraded by MAF. MAF’s new “ServoFox” machine has reached speeds of over 35 packs/minute using its new low maintenance sealing bar combined with its stretch technology that ensures a stretch-tight wrap around the product.
The Heavy-duty servo-driven “Kartomat” American Case (RSC) packaging machines offer high levels of flexibility and efficiency, combined with quick size changing. The Kartomat is available in widths of 400 / 600 / 1000 and 1300 mm, running at up to 10 cases/minute. Sealing options are hot melt or adhesive tape closure.
