APS Salads install A Series Tray Denester-Placer

When the UKs largest tomato and produce packer APS Produce were looking for a Tray Denester-placer, they approached leading UK manufacturer of card and plastic tray denester-placers, Partners in Packaging (Machine systems Ltd)

The A Series-four denester installed onto an indexing chain and peg conveyor, is capable of speeds of more than 100 trays/minute, and the four tray magazines offer a considerable tray capacity minimising the amount of operator loading.

After doing our research, we established that the A Series offered us the simplicity and reliability of operation together with the flexibility to change in future to other trays including card trays with a simple and quick size change mask.” said David Pearson APS’ facilities director.

 The A Series has actuated pick heads which enables deep trays to be picked from the magazine, and the A Series then “waits” with the trays over the line until it receives a trigger signal to place the trays accurately and quickly onto the conveyor.

With the use of lightweight but durable magazine masks, the A series can be changed from one type or size of tray to another in a matter of minutes by a trained operator.

 Over 75% of the Tray denester-placers which we have supplied over the last year have been to handle card trays.

Our machines are designed to handle both plastic and card on all of our machines with high speed servo machines available.
